Meet André
A true rodeo enthusiast. Andre has always had a deep appreciation for the art of rodeo, having grown up surrounded by the sport and the culture of the western lifestyle.
As a young athlete, André used to be a bull and bronc rider, experiencing firsthand the thrill and excitement of competing in rodeo events. Today, he is the founder and chairman of the Edmonton Rodeo Board, an organization committed to promoting and preserving the traditions of rodeo in the community.
My Story
André's story is one of passion for rodeo and a desire to bring the community closer together. After finding a sense of belonging and purpose as a competitor in bareback and bull riding events, he noticed that the western community in Edmonton was not as accessible as he would like it to be. Wanting to share his love for the sport and help others gain a sense of self through it, André founded the Edmonton Rodeo Board. Despite working long hours in oil & gas since 2004, with a focus on plant operations since 2009, he dedicates his free time to inspiring change and promoting rodeo through his work with the board.
Through his efforts, he hopes more people in the Edmonton area can have the opportunity to experience the joy and camaraderie of the rodeo community.
