Meet Logan
Logan’s adventure into the rodeo scene began with a first-place trophy in mutton busting at the Hairy-Hill rodeo. Although his bronc sheep-riding career was short lived, the experience set the stage for a life deeply entwined with the agricultural and rodeo communities. Logan was also a long-time member of the Strathcona Rein Riders 4-H Club, which furthered his stewardship and passion for community.

Serving as the Edmonton Rodeo Board treasurer, Logan is committed to contributing to the field of agriculture and furthering community engagement through the rodeo scene. He looks forward to crossing paths and engaging with other agricultural enthusiasts, as its through these interactions that Logan finds motivation and inspiration to drive ERB’s mission forward
My Story
Growing up in the richness of rural life and small-town rodeos, Logan has always had a foot in the rodeo scene. He is currently finishing up his degree in Animal Science with aspirations to further his training and eventually serve as one of the province’s hard-working veterinarians. A highlight of Logan’s academic experience was competing in the North American Intercollegiate Dairy Challenge competition, where he represented the University of Alberta as a student dairy consultant. This opportunity allowed Logan to apply academic training in real-world settings, honing skills that assist him in his current role with the ERB and the experience furthered his passion for agriculture, specifically livestock.
Concurrently, Logan also serves as treasurer for the University of Alberta’s Multi-Species Judging Club, which has held annual livestock judging competitions at Farmfair International. Logan eagerly looks forward to meeting like-minded individuals, driven by the belief that through shared passion and collaboration, significant impacts can be made in the agricultural sector and beyond.

When he isn't pouring over spreadsheets and budget reports, Logan is likely found tending to his co-owned heritage poultry business or nose deep in research papers. Logans love for the western lifestyle is evident not only through his academic pursuits but through his commitment to the betterment of the community.
